Rihanna holds tight to her taller boyfriend Chris Brown as he carries her through the deep water
They're the hottest new couple in R&B and have been dubbed the 'new Beyonce and Jay-Z'.
Despite insisting they are 'just friends', Rihanna and Chris Brown are unconvincing in their attempt to convince the world their relationship is strictly platonic.

As the couple holiday together in Rihanna's native Barbados, their public shows of affection do little to detract from the assumption they are more than friends.
Taking time out of their busy music careers, the young lovers donned lifejackets and swimwear to enjoy the Caribbean sea on jet-skis.
In a bid to cool down from the blistering temperatures, the pair spent most of the time in the sea floating on an inflatable cushion.

After Rihanna enjoyed a jet-skiing session, boyfriend Chris happily helped her out of the water, taking the opportunity to catch a glimpse of her shapely behind.
When action girl Rihanna wasn't enjoying water sports, she kept active by walking up and down the beach, showing off her impressive figure to an eager audience.
Dressed in a zebra print bikini top and yellow bottoms, Rihanna looked sleek and toned as she flashed her flat stomach.
The sexy pop star, 20, was first linked to 19-year-old Chris last year when he re-worked her megahit track Umbrella as Cinderella Under The Umbrella.
They recently collaborated on Rihanna's latest single Disturbia, which is currently sitting at number nine in the charts.
He originally wrote the song for himself, but decided it would sound better with a female voice so naturally, his girlfriend was the first person he offered it to.
Chris will soon join Rihanna in the charts when he releases his new single Kiss Kiss in a few weeks.

The romance rumours stepped up a gear when Rihanna took Chris to meet her family in Barbados in February, where the singer/actor was spotted seated beside Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty at her concert.
At the time, Fenty said: 'He's a very nice guy. They were very happy and relaxed and having fun.'
They were also photographed kissing in a hotel pool in Jamaica just days later.
Last September, Brown admitted he had a crush on the pretty singer, but insisted they were just friends.
He said: 'I might have flirted a little bit with her. But we're just friends. We're great friends. We haven't taken it to that next level yet...'
When asked about their relationship in May, Rihanna said: 'We are great actually. We have been friends for three years now.'

As if Chris Brown's life, image and reputation haven't been sullied enough since his brutal beating of RIhanna back in February, this week offered up a surplus of less-than-rainbows-and-puppies news for the disgraced R&B star. His quest to revamp his public persona via apologies has helped a bit, but this week, that all hit the skids thanks to a few minor hiccups (e.g., his awesomely terrible album cover) and one major one -- with Rihanna detailing his violent outburst(s) to Diane Sawyer. So, PopEater is taking a look into what may have been the worst week ever for Chris Brown.

Chris will likely have a hard time explaining not just the abuse, but the "eight or nine" times that Rihanna says he hit her. For those thinking his brutal beating of her that was so vividly visualized thanks to the infamous TMZ photo was the first time he hit her ... guess again. "EIGHT OR NINE." Brown and Rihanna were together for less than a year... meaning that's an almost one domestic violence instance per month average if maybe he skipped a month to rest up or was just feeling warm and fuzzy for some reason.

Because of Rihanna's Thursday/Friday reveal, Brown felt the need to throw his opinion and side into the mix as well, saying that he's "confused right now as far as the public perception [of me]."

Choire Sicha, editor of the blog TheAwl.com, isn't a fan of Brown's attempts at damage control in the press.

"Back in the olden times, people used to go to jail when they beat up their girlfriends. Crazy, right? Now, if we're just going to give them probation for biting people -- shouldn't judges also gag them with the press? It's a great idea! If they have to clam up for six months, then they'll be banned from publicizing their strangely well-timed new records while surfing the wave of their new-found notoriety," Sicha tells PopEater.

With the primary cause for Brown's horrendous week out of the way, let's get back to his attempt to reinvigorate his musical comeback.

Brown unveiled the cover art for his new album 'Graffiti,' (which we analyzed in detail) and let's just say it wasn't swooned over by critics and fans. The art shows a very tight-pantsed Brown with a bionic arm in outer space, spray-painting his title and also some random cartoon monsters. Seriously. Fan Jasmine James told MTV that "it looks like something off of [the 1996 film] 'Space Jam.'" For those who didn't see 'Space Jam,' that's probably not a compliment. Brown even took to Twitter to discuss his curiously tailored legwear, asking "Who cares if my pants r fitted." Apparently our pals at StreetLevel do, because they declared: "This is a slippery slope we must never fall victim too. What's next? All spandex everything?"

There were also other images that some didn't find too appealing. In a post on TheAwl.com, Sicha writes: "Say you are Chris Brown. Would you be putting out an album this year? Much less one with an album cover that looks like you're about to beat some tiny animated critters to death with a space-guitar? As your ex-girlfriend was endlessly making the press rounds, talking about how you had "no soul" in your eyes while you bit her?"

So where does Brown go from here? BestWeekEver.tv Managing Editor Michelle Collins tells PopEater she has a decent sounding proposal for Mr. Brown.

"I think his best bet is joining the Army. He's clearly got aggression issues which he can take out against the real enemy, and at least 40 percent of Americans will start to respect him for his patriotism."

Rihanna & Chris Brown

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

On February 8, 2009, Rihanna's life changed. And honestly, so did mine. I had never paid that much attention to Rihanna. I liked her song "Umbrella" but didn't really know much else about her.

She always seemed a little "hard" to me. Like hardcore, tough or "Good girl gone bad" as she self-proclaimed for the name of her 2007 album.

But when I heard that Chris Brown had allegedly beaten up Rihanna, I was in a place in my life where I myself was being bullied in a situation and also was at a turning point in facing some demons from my own past. And the news of Rihanna shook me and confused me. She was so pretty, rich, successful, young, talented. In all the photos I had ever seen of her and Chris Brown they always looked so romantic with each other and in love.

"She must have done something to provoke him," I shared with a friend. "No," my friend said. "You are blaming the victim. Survivors of abuse often tend to do that. If they are the victim they will blame themselves. If they witness abuse they will find excuses for the abuser and blame the victim. It's very common."

"Hmmm. Maybe," I said. I didn't fully buy that logic then and I still don't. Now let me clarify. No matter what Rihanna may or may not have done or whatever anyone could ever do, there is still the matter of the other person being responsible for their own actions. Even if Rihanna started pounding Chris with her fists, he is still accountable for his own actions and reactions.

HOWEVER, they were both kids when this happened. What 20 or 21 years old? Rich, unsupervised, on-top-of-the-world kids surrounded by 'yes' people and handlers that cater to them. I just thought, why is there not more leeway in the harshness of public judgement and opinion they received. Especially Chris.

Do I condone violence? Absolutely not. Do I see how it can happen? Of course, live a day on this planet as an adult and you can see how violence happens. We have animal instincts, many people have unhealed rage from their past, we have a society of surpressed emotions... things happen. But I believe it is possible to heal and move on. I don't believe condemning people and shaming them for their mistakes helps anyone.

Both Chris Brown and Rihanna came from homes where they witnessed domestic violence. Rihanna has been said to have experienced bullying in her elementary years in school. She has been quoted in articles of having acted out violence on her brother.

These are learned vibrations that if not shifted consciously, remain as part of the individual.

In my opinion both Rihanna and Chris Brown are both victims and both perpetrators. And I believe this to be true for any such situation. The vibrations of both parties matched up on some level. I know this is true from my own experience of being bullied. I may have been what appeared to be the "victim" but my vibration was a perfect match to the situation.

And I believe anyone who has ever been in any kind of situation where they have been "victimized" if they ever truly get to the point of awareness and knowing themselves and able to see what sort of "vibration" they are emitting, they will see their own part in a situation.

I am not blaming anyone. I truly believe everyone is doing the best they can for themselves. No one wants to feel bad about themselves or their lives.

I know my beliefs and opinions aren't "popular" or common and many people might disagree. And that is ok too. People can have whatever beliefs they want to. And based on my own experience and exploration, I have come to my own.

Looking back it is pretty clear that even after the beating, Rihanna still loved and immediately forgave Chris Brown for his actions. What it says more about is how.

Rihanna Defends Following Chris Brown On Twitter

You just can't put anything past fans on Twitter. On Saturday, fans of Rihanna were shocked to find that not only was her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown following her on Twitter, but she was following him back. And they were not happy to see their favorite singer showing any signs of reconciliation with her abusive ex, even if was only on a social media site…

One fan actually called Rihanna out on the follow, tweeting at her: " I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, it's your life but you do have (people) that look up to you. e.g. young girls."

The fan (a 14-year-old girl) then quickly apologized to Rihanna for upsetting her and was rewarded with an apologetic tweet from her idol: "babygirl I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt or offend u! Just needed to make it clear to the [fans]…xoxo"
It's just a matter of time before they will be dating again.  Unfortunately some people can't stop the cycle of abuse. Rihanna should proceed with caution.

Rihanna and her ex Chris Brown are "unlikely" to get back together again despite their recent secret hook-ups.

The musical superstars split three years ago after an argument turned violent.

But rumours have been circulating that the 'We Found Love' singer and Chris have been seeing each other again, meeting up regularly over the past 12 months.

Although the pair has rekindled their romance, sources say, it is doubtful that they will become serious again.

"They have probably hooked up no more than half a dozen times in the past year. It's very unlikely that Rihanna and Chris would ever get back together though," Stuff.co.nz quoted a source as telling RadarOnline.

Following the 2009 altercation, Brown was charged with assaulting the pop beauty and served with a restraining order.

However, the singer does not feel victimised any longer and is not interested in what people think about her alleged romance with Brown.

"Rihanna doesn't care if she were to get public backlash if they were to reconcile, she is the one calling the shots now, which she likes," the source explained.

"Rihanna knows that if they were to get back together, she wouldn't be able to maintain that strong role, and Chris would lose interest. They are both very young, and Rihanna would never be able to trust Chris because he has problems staying faithful," the source added
